WELCOME!
Welcome to the 2023 ECBS Bead Retreat. We are happy to say that we will be returning to the Hilton Garden Inn in Daphne, AL, right on Interstate 10 at the foot of the Mobile Causeway. They are very pleased to host us again this year.
We have a great variety of unique classes again this year. Registration begins now and ends February 3rd, 2023. You must have paid your 2023 dues in order to qualify for the members registration rate of $60. Registration for non-members is $100. You may include your 2023 dues with your registration but we would prefer separate checks for accounting purposes.
We want to welcome Vaughn Millner as a new teacher at our retreat. Vaughn Millner is a metalsmith and metalsmith instructor. She has taught at William Holland School of Lapidary Arts in Young Harris, Georgia for approximately 20 years. She also teaches at the Mobile Museum of Art in Mobile, Alabama and Dauphin Island Gallery/Heritage Center in Dauphin Island, Alabama. Vaughn also teaches at her home studio on the Mobile-Tensaw Delta. Welcome, Vaughn!!
We also want to welcome back Shaunna LeMasters who will again offer her massages at a very reasonable rate. I, for one, will be signing up!
Teachers determine the cost of their classes and kit fees. All students will pay the teachers directly for their classes. It will be left to the teachers discretion as to whether they will require payment in advance to secure your spot at the time of class.
After the registration deadline has passed you will be notified of the classes you were able to join, or of the alternate class you selected if the first class was full. You will be provided the teacher’s contact information. The teachers will be given a student roster with your contact information. They can then confirm the class requirements and advise if they require advance payment.
We will again have a raffle, just one after the class has finished on Saturday afternoon. It’s always a success and the prizes are very good. Nice donations for the raffle are greatly appreciated. We will also have the 50/50 raffle! Everyone loves that!
Room rates at the Hilton Garden Inn are $125 per night.
While we do not have access to the conference room Friday night those of us who are arriving on Friday night can congregate and enjoy our friends and fellow beaders. Just keep in touch with me!
